In the event that the boat owner brings a claim
for physical damage to a boat which is deemed not covered under the
Borrowed Boat, Chartered Boat or Judges Borrowed Boat, this provides a
$10,000 defense fund for your organization. The David Agency Borrowed
or Chartered Boat Insurance is a prerequisite.
Q: Why
do I need this?
A:
After you return the Borrowed or Chartered boat back to the Boat
Owner, a few have had all sorts of complaints about his/her boat, he
may sue your organization looking for his boat to be repaired. This
provides money for legal fees to defend your organization in court
up to the $10,000 limit.
Q: What
is it for?
A:
If damage during your event is not recorded and the claim is denied,
the owner may try to get the organization to pay for damage on his
boat. If it is found that the damage occurred during the regatta,
the Borrowed Boat or Chartered Boat Insurance would pay for the
damages to the boat. If it was found that the damages were not a
result of the regatta, your legal bill will be taken care of up to
the limit and there will be no payment for the damage to his boat.
Q: What
is the most difficult problem you deal with?
A:
Legibility of the applications. Some times we need to call you back
with clarification questions to help you out. When applying, please
write clearly and complete all answers.
Q: How
much does this cost?
A:
For the small charge of 10% of the Borrowed or Chartered Boat
premium.
